Overview
Truewind is an AI accounting platform for finance teams and accounting firms. Its digital accountant prepares transaction coding, reconciliations and close work for review, while Sage Intacct or QuickBooks Online remains the underlying accounting system.
What Truewind does
Truewind turns bank statements, workpapers and other accounting inputs into journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules. Accounting teams use it to organize the close, assign work, review exceptions and retain evidence for the decisions behind the books.
The platform combines close management, transaction coding and reconciliation. It applies a team’s accounting rules, prepares prepaid and fixed-asset schedules, compares posted activity with historical patterns and flags unusual items for review. Its workflows also address specific source data such as brokerage statements, donations, payroll and point-of-sale settlements.
Truewind serves accounting practices and internal finance functions, including startups, nonprofits and family offices. Its current positioning keeps the customer’s team responsible for review and sign-off. Native Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online integrations let approved entries move into the existing general ledger.
Differentiation
Compared with a general ledger
Truewind works alongside the accounting system. It prepares, reconciles and organizes the close workflow while Sage Intacct or QuickBooks Online remains the source of truth.
Compared with outsourced accounting
The current product is designed for the customer’s accountants to review and control the close. It supplies an AI execution layer rather than automatically replacing the entire finance function.
Track record
Truewind publishes customer accounts from HHL Advisors, Wiza, Superpath and StartPlaying. Those accounts explain the workflows used; the results are customer-specific rather than a universal savings guarantee.
