Overview
Cove is an AI-native architecture practice. Its architects use an internal intelligence platform to carry site constraints, design options and project decisions from early feasibility through documentation and delivery.
What cove does
Cove’s approach connects zoning, massing, environmental performance and other constraints with the developing design. The team can compare alternatives and evaluate implications while the architectural direction is still flexible.
Its intelligence systems preserve the assumptions and reasoning behind decisions as a project moves through design development, coordination and documentation. The aim is continuity of project understanding rather than a new isolated study at every phase.
The architects remain responsible for creative authorship, judgment and the professional output. Cove describes its technology as infrastructure built to support its practice, rather than software sold separately for another firm to operate.
Differentiation
Compared with design software
Cove provides an architectural practice using its own intelligence systems, not only an application for a customer’s design team.
Compared with disconnected project studies
Its model carries constraints and decisions through the life of the project so later work can use the reasoning behind earlier choices.
Company details
Cove is led by co-founder and CEO Sandeep Ahuja and co-founder and principal Patrick Chopson, AIA. Its leadership combines architectural practice with technology and building-performance work.
Ahuja leads the company’s design and technology direction. Chopson brings two decades of architectural and engineering experience to design and product development; principal Ed Akins adds architectural practice expertise.
