Tractable develops computer-vision systems for vehicle damage assessment and appraisal.

What Tractable does

Tractable uses computer vision to assess damage from vehicle images and support automotive appraisal workflows. Its customers include insurers, repairers, dealerships, recyclers and fleet operators, each using the assessment within a different operational process.

For insurers, image analysis supports damage assessment and claims handling. Repairers can use digital assessments to engage customers, while recyclers can identify parts and inform salvage bids. Fleet and rental workflows use vehicle condition information at check-in, check-out and maintenance.

Assessments include confidence information related to visibility, image quality and damage severity. Open APIs connect the outputs with existing systems. Tractable also promotes LumaScanner for vehicle scanning, extending its image-based approach into a dedicated vehicle-inspection experience.
